Community Foundation of Tompkins County announces 2007 Howland Foundation Grants Deadline

Once again the Community Foundation of Tompkins County seeks proposals for projects to address needs in our community.

Full applications for Howland Foundation grants may be sent to the Community Foundation of Tompkins County, 309 N. Aurora Street , Ithaca , NY 14850 and are due by 5pm on Friday, March 16, 2007.

The guidelines and application may be found on the Community Foundation's website at http://www.communityfoundationoftc.org/grants/grants_available.php

The application should explain projects to meet pressing needs in aging and/or youth services for Tompkins County and for the benefit of animals and/or the environment in Broome County and/or Tompkins County .

The Community Foundation of Tompkins County views grant making as a dynamic process that supports an on going conversation about need, best practices and collaborative opportunities among grant seekers, donor advisors and the Foundation. We invite letters of inquiry throughout the year so that we may assist all in our role as a connector of causes and donors.

The Community Foundation exists to develop sustainable philanthropy for a broad range of community efforts by encouraging the growth of a permanent charitable endowment, by providing donors with ways to make giving easy and effective, by serving as a convener and catalyst and by making strategic grants as community investments.
