The
Community Foundation's dedication to partnerships invigorates our work
and helps produce effective and efficient solutions to problems in Tompkins
County . We trust that you have enjoyed learning about the many ways in
which we enter into alliances and how so many partners are growing a permanent
charitable asset for today and tomorrow.
We
are excited about the future of locally guided philanthropy and the opportunities
to work with each of you. We acknowledge with appreciation your participation
with the Community Foundation and thank you for making our shared success
possible. Thanks to you the philanthropic sector continues to grow in
resources, responsibilities, and results.
As
a member of the national Council on Foundations we have achieved compliance
with national standards for community foundations. The Council's ethical
principles guide our work and demonstrate our commitment to partnerships.
All of these ideals require working together with our community.
- Dedication to public benefit
- Stewardship of communal assets
- Accountability and Transparency
- Diversity and Inclusiveness
- Governance
- Respect
As
we continue to advance partnerships which solve problems, create possibility,
and nurture optimism we eagerly seek opportunities to work with individuals,
businesses, government, and neighbors to improve the quality of life for
all in Tompkins County. In our hopes, our challenges, our successes, and
our love for our community, we are truly linked to one another.
