Community Foundation Invests in TST Community School

      The Community Foundation is proud to announce an investment of $350 granted to the BOCES' TST Community School . The grant is for special books and a stove for extracurricular cooking activities for which there are no regular BOCES funds.

      The TST Community School serves students who are having difficulty getting through school and provides alternative education to students in middle and high school, leading to local and Regents diplomas as well as to the General Equivalency Diploma.  A special program is available for students who are pregnant and/or parenting teens. 

      All of the programs are designed to encourage a supportive, caring, participatory community. Many students also attend career and technical education programs on the main TST BOCES campus. Graduates attend community colleges, technical schools, four year colleges, enter the military or the workforce.

      This grant is from the Community Foundation's TST Community School Enrichment Opportunities Fund.
